Shipping Container Security

Cargo container security systems using wireless transmission and telemetry are currently being developed. IR Telmetrics is designing specific shipping container security system components. The cargo container security technology relies on IRT patented microwave data telemetry and a combination of GPS and inertial navigation. Container telemetry with the IRT components will track and monitor shipping containers while in transit, while being loaded, and while in the shipping yard. IRT shipping container security has already been assembled by a well qualified team, including Sun Microsystems and SSA Marine, which will provide the necessary expertise to realize dhs requirements of a global data center for shipping container security that serves both the government and commercial sector. The worldwide technology leader in providing wireless data transfer in challenging internal environments, IRT has won a small business innovation research grant to continue to explore shipping container security systems. IRT is interested in partnering with larger organizations to further develop cargo container security.
